I've worked on the creative side of advertising for twenty years as an art director, writer and creative director. In the past ten years I've focused on integrated marketing, with a specialty in emerging media. Startups rely on me to help them with their messaging to ad agencies and their clients and agencies rely on me to find them the latest promising startups.

On the entrepreneurial side, I've founded one of the first business social networks, a network-based ad agency with a unique business model, and have been a founding team member of several startups, helping raise millions in funding and acting as a startup generalist who can do everything from initial decks, revenue models and investor pitches to overall launch strategy.

Other areas of expertise include leveraging big data in social media and combining insights with creativity to build microtargeted campaigns and creating "sales enablement funnels" for b2b lead generation.

I'm currently open to new opportunities on a consulting basis or full time if it's the right fit.

1988 - At the age of fourteen, obsessed with saving the princess in Super Mario Brothers, I flunked the first semester of 9th grade. My first desktop publishing venture was making my own report card.

1995 - After skipping college to work at publications and ad agencies on Long Island, I debuted at BBDO at age 20 as a junior art director.

1996 - Someone at BBDO walked in and said "What's a banner ad?" "I got this." I replied.

2002 Escaped to Massachusetts. Became a vegetarian. Won some ad awards. (Unrelated to vegetarianism.)

2004 - Founded, one of the first business social networks. Featured in the Wall Street Journal, honored by the Webby Awards.

2005 - Joined Snap Marketing (renamed to Escalate) and helped create one of the first agencies combining experiential, word of mouth and social. Created the largest experiential campaign in Coca-Cola history and their first user-generated content site when we launched Coke Zero.

2009 - Founded Half Fiction, a network agency focused on startups and fast growth brands.

2013 - Merged with Catch24 Design
