I have spent the last 10 years working with moms of boys and young men in helping boys to in their emotional and social wellness. As a result of my experience, I co-founded #CompassionConvos, a global compassion movement challenging bias and cultural insensitivity through awareness, dialogue, and compassionate action. #CompassionConvos are cross-cultural and inter-generational conversations within communities and organizations around difficult and challenging subjects through social media, online and in person. Conversations include, but aren't limited to racism, sexism, homophobia and xenophobia. Through awareness, education, and dialogue we're challenged to take action.

The purpose of these conversations and challenges is for people to see others through a different lens. We provide platforms to build compassionate councils and create behavioral change. We work with people to explore the immense capacity of storytelling and narrative, online and in person, and use as a tool to expression in people's lives. We humanize the compassion experience and bring out human connections.

I've worked with students and parents in NYC public elementary, middle and high schools and have conducted workshops for: Monroe College, The Harlem Book Fair, The Westchester Children's Book Festival, Harlem Children's Zone, The New York City Charter School Center, The Boy Scouts, New York State Child Abuse Prevention Conference, and LinkEducation's K-12 Expo.
