Marina Khonina

Graduate Student in Metro Vancouver, BC

I am an MA candidate in Sociology at Simon Fraser University. My research focuses on female-identified university athletes' relationship with food and their bodies.

My interest in female athletes’ relationship with food was sparked by my own experience as a track & field athlete, as well as my work in nutrition coaching.

My background includes teaching at high school and university levels, as well as over 20 years as a professional translator and conference interpreter.

I have lived in Central Asia, Japan, and Turkey, and I am currently based in Metro Vancouver, BC.
