As a professional in sports marketing and communications Marisa's mission is to create a positive impact for the sports industry and its people, around digital transformation, cultural change and diversity, equity and inclusion.

She is Chair of She Sports Switzerland, a non-profit association connecting, leveraging and empowering women in sports business and helping tackling the gender gap and unconscious bias in federations and companies in the sports industry.

For HYPE Sports Innovation, Marisa is leading the Winter Sports Vertical to increase innovation and develop technology further in the winter sports area.

As a Commission Member at the Global Esports Federation on their Digital, Technology, Innovation, Active Esports (DTIA) commission, she connects the dots between traditional and esports.

Marisa worked for Infront, the world's leading sports marketing company, as Global Head of Events & Culture after Co-Leading internal and external communications & relations for the Infront group.

Values and Culture are close to her heart, as shestrongly believes in the power of cultural positive leadership, diversity and winning as a team.

As a SportsPro columnist, Marisa writes regularly about women in sports business and its related challenges.

Growing up in the sports industry and gathering insights from several perspectives during her career, she has a wide understanding of the global sports industry.

She worked for Red Bull and the Wings for Life World Run, managing international communications,after she was Head of Communications at theBMW BERLIN-MARATHON, part of theAbbott World Marathon Majors Series. Marisa was part of the team when the global series was initiated and developed it further in the years until 2015.

Prior to it, she represented international athletes in Track & Field as an athlete's agent. Accredited by the governing body, the International Athletics Federation, she managed top athletes to help them fulfil their dreams to become an Olympian or World Champion.

For many years, she worked as a freelance sports journalist covering Olympics, World & European championships for Federations and Newspapers and worked as Co-Meeting Director for the largest Junior Athletics Meeting in the world, the Juniors-Gala in Mannheim.

She holds a Major in Economics and a minor in Sports Management. Her passion is psychology & culture, holding several certificates in the area of positive psychology, mindfulness, & leadership.
