Marty Parker
CEO, Culture Strategist, and Leadership Thought Leader in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
Hi, I’m Marty Parker—Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Waterstone Human Capital. Since launching the firm in 2003, I’ve focused on one core belief: culture is the ultimate competitive advantage. At Waterstone, we specialize in retained executive search and human capital consulting, helping organizations identify leaders who not only drive performance but fit and elevate organizational culture.
Over the past two decades, I’ve worked alongside growth‑oriented companies and entrepreneurial leaders to build high‑performance cultures that translate into measurable business results. I’m widely recognized as a North American authority on organizational culture and human capital, and I’ve spent my career studying how leadership behavior shapes sustainable competitive advantage.
In 2005, I founded Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures™, an annual national program recognizing best‑in‑class organizations whose cultures fuel exceptional performance. The platform later expanded to include Canada’s Most Admired CEO™ and Canada’s Most Admired People and Culture™ Awards, and in 2025 we launched America’s Most Admired Cultures™—extending our commitment to celebrating culture‑driven leadership across North America.
I’m the author of Culture Connection and The Culturepreneur: How High Performance Leaders Craft Culture as Competitive Advantage, where I explore how leaders intentionally design culture to unlock growth, alignment, and long‑term value creation.
Earlier in my career, I held senior leadership roles with The Caldwell Partners International and The CCL Group, and began my professional journey with Johnson & Johnson and Labatt Breweries in progressively senior sales and marketing roles. These experiences shaped my passion for leadership development and performance‑driven teams.
Beyond my professional work, I’m deeply involved in the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), serving in numerous leadership roles including Chapter Chair, Learning Chair, Membership Chair, Networks Chair, Forum Chair, and Regional Board Member. I believe strongly in lifelong learning and peer leadership.
I hold an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Canadian Studies and a Master of Science in Marketing from the University of Guelph, where I was a four‑year varsity football letterman and track and field captain.
Marty and his wife Tanya divide their time between Mississauga, Ontario and Delray Beach, Florida, and are proud parents of five children. I’m passionate about sports, coaching, fitness, reading, and continuous personal and professional development.
If you’re building a company where culture is more than a slogan—and performance is the outcome of intentional leadership—let’s connect.
