Kwe, I'm Meagan. I am a Mi'kmaw woman who lives in Kjipuktuk (Halifax). I completed my undergraduate degree in Public Policy Studies, and I have completed coursework in Indigenous Governance. I have developed and reviewed policy affecting Indigenous women who are incarcerated, as well as working on participatory action research projects with Indigenous communities in British Columbia. I am currently a Counselling student at Acadia University. I have completed trauma informed abortion doula training, and I have completed training on infant and pregnancy loss. This training is inclusive of abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth and infant death. I am also completing coursework on Breastfeeding, Diverse Families and Sex in Pregnancy & Postpartum.
