I am a recent graduate of Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC. After starting a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism Management I developed an interest in Psychology and completed a minor in the subject. My education involved 2 years of business courses that provided me with a solid understanding of business administration including marketing, economics and accounting, professional composition, and various management courses. The 3rd and 4th years offered a focus on the tourism and hospitality industry and included courses that provided a clear understanding of the industry and it's many aspects including social impact and cultural aspects.
My psychology minor provided me with knowledge of personality and behaviour development over a lifetime and other topics such as health psychology and various research and statistics courses.
Through my education, I worked various jobs including a front desk position with a 4 star Inn and various camp counsellor positions with the facilitating company, Pinnacle Pursuits and the BC SPCA.
I have come to the end of my education with the ability to provide superior customer service and have evaluated and developed guest experiences in various situations. I have a basic understanding of the psychological development of a person from infancy to adulthood and am very interested in furthering my knowledge of the subject.
I aspire to obtain a career in social or public services and am interested in any position that allows me to work with and contribute to the lives of other people.
