Hi everybody! I am Megan and I am a student-athlete at Earlham College. I am from the Netherlands but since I was a little girl I always wanted to study in the United States. So this brought me to Earlham in August 2013.

I am currently a junior at Earlham College. I am double majoring in psychology and Spanish & Hispanic Studies. I play field hockey at Earlham and I am a part of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. I work for the Athletic Department and I am in involved in Student Government. I am scheduled to graduate from Earlham College in December 2016 (a semester earlier than planned).

From January until May 2015 I studied in Granada, Spain. This was absolutely an amazing experience. I focused on studying the Spanish language and Spanish literature. I enjoy traveling, but actually living in a different country is even better. I enjoy getting to know local people and really understanding their culture.

Besides traveling, I love to read books, play field hockey and spend time with my family and friends. I value having good integrity, having respect for others and being grateful for life.

I want to make a difference in this world. I really hope one day every child will have the opportunity to get a good education. Every child should have the right to get an education, therefore I am devoted to make this happen. As a global ambassador for Leaders of Today I hope to help young people in becoming leaders for social action. I believe young people can make such a big & positive difference. I want to be one of these young people and at the same time help other people believe in the fact that they can make a difference!
