Michael is an instructor of Filipino martial arts specializing in private and small group training. He is an instructor with maelstrom Martial Arts (headed by Tuhon Loki Jorgenson) and regular drummer and performer with Kathara Dance Theatre Collective Canada. His key motivation is to promote the study of Filipino martial arts, an expression as diverse as its people. He is also active with cultural organizations like the Monsoon Society, Tulayan, and the Multicultural Helping House. Other days, he is involved with local indie films and video projects.
