Mike Rosen is a storyteller for the modern age. A social media nerd at the intersection of tech & music, a poet & performer, educator & yoga teacher-- Mike empowers brands, communities and individuals to unlock their own story and tell it in their own voice.
Best known for the viral video “When God Happens” (UpWorthy.com), Mike was Best Male Poet at the Wade-Lewis Poetry Slam Invitational 2011, a finalist at Rustbelt Regional Poetry Slam 2012, and twice finished in the top ten at College Union Poetry Slam Invitational. As a student at Wesleyan University he founded the nation’s largest collegiate poetry slam, and has gone on to perform and teach internationally. His workshops focus on community building, perceptions of masculinity, and breaking down rape culture. Recently, Mike performed in several cities in India including for a capacity crowd in Pune.
Mike's digital strategy brings industry-standard metrics to hyper local markets. He served as the Digital Strategy and Club Marketing Manager for The Bowery Presents where he implemented campaigns for Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center, Disclosure, The National and more. He brought New York's largest concert promoter into the 21st century with a mobile app launch and drastic increases in community engagement. Other clients include OkayPlayer, Cantora, among others.
In 2015, Mike traveled to India where he completed a 200-hour Yoga teacher training along the banks of the holy Ganga.
When not working or writing, Mike is teaching yoga, driving to Montauk to catch the sunset, or practicing the choreography from “Backstreet’s Back” as his rain dance. Rock on.
