Having been trained extensively in Literature, Theatre and Cultural Studies, doing a bit of Gender here and some English there, working a couple of years as an assistent researcher in the field of aesthetic emotions, all the while harbouring a strong interest in popular culture, craziness hit me two years ago: In 2012 I started working on a dissertation project concerned with emotions and affective rhetoric in the texts of primatologists. For everyone not familiar with the term: that’s all people doing research with apes and monkeys. For everyone not familiar with texts: I cannot help you. Everyone else might be interested in our project group’s website (http://www.affekte.unibe.ch), my blog (http://ofapesandmen.wordpress.com) or any professional output the next years with my dissertation project, Affen und Affekte. Die Rhetorik der Primatologie (Apes and Affects. The Rhetorics of Primatology), might provide. You just wait and see.
