Mohammad Ariff

I am the youngest born in 1969, the 13th generation of a Bengali Muslim native zamindar family from Calcutta.

I did my primary schooling from the SGJ Saifee Hall School and secondary & sr secondary schooling from the Assembly of God Church School, Kolkata. I did my graduation from Bhawanipur Education Society College under Calcutta University. I am also a Bachelor of Social Work from Indira Gandhi National Open University. I have Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering, Diploma in Travel & Tourism Laws and Management, and many Certifications.

I am a Professional Social Worker and a businessman with interest in Engineering, Travels & Tourism, Restaurant, Printing & Publishing, Aqua-culture and IT.

I am an amateur radio wireless operator with the Call Sign VU3ARF in India, VK6ARF in Australia and KG7FUY in USA.

I have many achievements in my career. The introduction of Satellite Master Antenna Television in India, the live telecast of Mother Teresa's Funeral for BBC, ZDF German Television, European Broadcasting Union, ABC etc., the introduction of 1st FM Station in India way back in 1995 etc. is just a few.

I suffered a massive brain hemorrhage on 29 Dec 2009 and right side was paralyzed. But, it could not hold me back from my business & social activities for long. I was out of the ICCU in 4 days and hospital in 8 days and attending office in about a month from the incident. Now my right side is much better but not fully recovered. Although I drive myself with only left hand!
