Monica Aparicio, transformational life coach, specializes in the Heart of Transformation- a process that compassionately guides women in unraveling layers of confusion and fear to uncover the joy of living, which is at the essence of true transformation. Monica received her certification in holistic health coaching from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, as well as Columbia University, Teachers College. She has also earned full accreditation from the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) with certification as a Biodynamic Breath Work practitioner. Her coaching approach weaves holistic nutrition with Biodynamic breath work, a therapeutic modality based on the science of Bioenergetics. Working from the body/mind connection allows for a deep transformation at the cellular level. Monica’s passion for teaching and learning has led her to study a broad range of modern dietary theories and ancient healing arts which include Ayurveda, herbal medicine making, active meditation practices and Reiki energy healing at the master level. Monica holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography, a Master of Science in School Supervision and Administration and has been a fine arts educator in the New York City public school system for over 11 years. As co-founder of Urban Breath NYC, Monica, has facilitated over 25 active meditation and breath therapy workshops in New York City since January of 2010.
