Meredith Swett Walker

Colorado

I am a biologist by training who used to study hormones and behavior in birds- specifically the fascinating, polymorphic white-throated sparrow in the Boreal Forest of northern Vermont. Now I study the development and behavior of two juvenile humans nicknamed Frog and Pie in the high desert of western Colorado. When I am not handling my research subjects, I write about science and nature. My writing has been featured in Entomology Today, Hakai, Orion, and the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel. You can read my work on my blogs http://picahudsonia.com/ and https://citizenbiologist.com/ or follow me on Twitter @mswettwalker
