Dr. Myra Ahmad is the Founder and CEO of Mochi Health, a San Francisco–based telehealth company that makes physician-led, evidence-based obesity and metabolic care accessible nationwide. Myra earned her MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Wellesley College, and did research at MIT and UCSF.
Ahmad launched Mochi Health in 2022 after watching patients get lost in the gaps between bariatric, endocrinology and primary care providers. Instead of building another prescription-only service, she created a three-sided marketplace that brings patients, clinicians and independent pharmacies together on a single platform. Today, Mochi Health's care teams pair physicians, dietitians and behavioral specialists with GLP-1 and peptide-based therapies, which has widened the company's focus from weight management to whole-person metabolic health.
A vocal advocate for healthcare access, Ahmad is working to reach the patients traditional systems often miss, including people who are uninsured, live in rural areas or belong to underserved communities.
