I am a digital media consultant that specializes in mom and pop operations. I love helping people embrace digital marketing and find ownership over their brands!
I am also a BCom graduate from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia and urban planning enthusiast. I speak three languages, understand two more, and endeavor to be fully fluent in six by 2020. A firm believer in the Oxford comma, I am fascinated by words, juxtapositions, and cross cultural context. I love the idea that complex problems can be solved by simple and neat solutions, and am constantly seeking out game changing product innovations; a shift in perspective can lead to immense change, and I want to be a part of that.
I want to work/volunteer in some mix of international trade and development, advocacy, and social change. I find decision theory extremely interesting, and am currently focused on developing my project management, and market analysis abilities as well as deepening my understanding of consumer behavior, and social constructs. That intersection where marketing solves market failure? Yeah, that is where I want to build my house, and I am not afraid of teaching myself new concepts and methods of thinking in order to do so.
It's important to me that I continuously grow and try new things. To me, life is not about pushing boundaries so much as it is about accepting change, and being dynamic, not static- I try my best to try something new everyday!
I think Naomi Shihab Nye said it right when she wrote, "I want to be famous the way a pulley is famous, or a buttonhole, not because it did anything spectacular, but because it never forgot what it could do."Most people define themselves by what they are not. I choose to define myself by what I am: a billion cells with a billion purposes but with just one intent, to live.
