Orry Maine

Orry Maine (Zelch) has grown up all over the world. Born in Tennessee he has since lived in Mississippi, Japan, Iceland, and Kentucky. He went to school to study Audio Engineering at Dark Horse Institute in Franklin, Tennessee just outside of Nashville, and graduated in November of 2014. Prior to attending DHI, Orry had practiced as a musician and vocalist, playing piano, violin, and preforming his own music he both wrote and produced. Recording his own work at home made learning professional recording easier, and as he expanded his knowledge he quickly began improving his own art as well as collaborating with other students.

After his graduation he stayed to intern at Dark Horse Recording for some time, however due to personal reasons he then moved back to his home town in Kentucky. Since then he has had the opportunity to score Kirk Lindo's graphic novella 'Vampress Luxura: The Monster's Gauntlet.' He continues to improve his own craft at home, and plans to return to Nashville to pursue his dream in the music industry.

His love and understanding of all types and styles of music makes his unique, and it's hard to place him in a single genre. In his own words, "music isn't something that [to me] needs to be divided and "segregated," There shouldn't be this conflict of what's considered to be "real" music. By definition music is sounds, whether with voice or instrument, combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. It's something that should be loved and experienced no matter who you are or where you come from." - Orry Maine Zelch

Now music isn't the only art of which Orry has a talent for. Growing up he's always found that music always goes best with a fantastic piece of visual art. Whether by paint, pencil, digital, traditional, video, or photo.

Though his portfolio is short for the moment, he definitely has the skills and talent needed in this industry, and there is definitely a spot waiting for him.
