Paul Pester is a leader in consumer financial services with a career spanning over 25 years. His passion for building and leading disruptive businesses has taken him from the UK to Australia and beyond.

Paul serves as the Chair of Tandem Bank, the UK's fastest-growing green digital bank, and Cardeo, a market-disrupting credit card fintech. He is also a Non-Executive Director at the National Bank of Bahrain, representing the Bahrain Sovereign Wealth Fund, Mumtalakat, and a Co-Founder and Non-Executive Director at Archie Growth, a FinTech accelerator focused on the Middle East, Australia, and the UK.

Paul's executive journey includes being the first Group CEO of Virgin Money, where he launched the business in the UK and Australia, and serving as the Managing Director of Consumer Banking & Payments at Lloyds Banking Group.

He also served as the CEO of TSB Banking Group for seven years, leading the creation and launch of the business, its £1.4 billion IPO on the London Stock Exchange in 2014, and its £1.7 billion sale to Spanish banking group, Sabadell, in 2015.

Recently, Paul founded, built, and sold Loop, a popular FinTech among Gen Z and Millennial users.
