Consultant, Teacher, and Writer in Santa Cruz, California
I have been working for approximately twelve years to help people suffering from — not to mention raising awareness and consciousness about — the negative health effects of the increasing amounts of man-made electromagnetic fields in our environments. In 2005 I had just started working as an Associate Professor at one of Japan's top universities, Kyushu University. I had 15 years of teaching experience, an MAT in TESOL, an MA in Advanced Japanese Studies, numerous publications and presentations, and I was getting ready to pursue a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics. My future was bright. But then I got sick. I had no idea what was going on. It took me six months to figure out that living in very close proximity to two cell phone towers and another about 500 meters away was making me very very sick. I coined the term "EMF Refugee" and started a Yahoo Group in 2006 by the same name to help other people who were themselves becoming EMF Refugees. I also started a blog called The Microwave Factor to chronicle the majority of information coming out on the topic. Furthermore, I have been putting out an e-newsletter three times a month called EMR-Updates. If you would like to receive this, please email me at email@example.com and I will put you on the list. Finally, I have just completed certification as a Building Biology Practitioner and an Electromagnetic Radiation Specialist (EMRS) at the International Institute of Building Biology and Ecology in Santa Fe, New Mexico. You can contact me at Electromagnetic Safe Planet (ESP): firstname.lastname@example.org if you are having health issues and you think this might be the cause.
