I've spent my career leading innovation in broadcast and digital media. My passion is finding new ways to solve system engineering challanges, to ultimately bring better pictures and sound for media & entertainment.

I've designed and implementing hundreds of broadcast and media systems, including digital video systems for the DirecTV launch, early HDTV systems for NBC and CBS and pioneering 4K workflow systems for motion picture production. Most recently, I was Senior Vice President of Sony's Silicon Valley R&D labs, where we developed workflow software for Sony Pictures, stereoscopic imaging and the next generation of 4K laser projectors for digital cinema. In my spare time, I was past president of SMPTE - the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers -- and a SMPTE fellow.

I'm also proud to be co-founder and Chairman of the Laser Illuminated Projector Association, and a frequent speaker on the future of broadcast, Ultra HD television, stereoscopic 3D and laser displays.
