René F. Najera

Rene is a doctoral student in the Doctor of Public Health program at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. In the six years previous to entering Hopkins, Rene was an epidemiologist in the Office of Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Outbreak Response at the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. He has since left that post to attend school.

Rene also works as a medical technologist (a lab tech) every now and then to keep up his skills in laboratory medicine. The rest of the time, he can be found at home with his family, on the road on his Jeep, in a field playing soccer, writing something down, or napping.
