Ria is a startup enthusiast, a community connector, an artist, and a catalyst in the women and tech space. With a non-linear career that spans across corporate, academia, nonprofits, and consultancy, she is mainly engaged in business development and partnerships, gender and international development work, events, community engagement, and program development. Into many creative pursuits and without one true calling, she thrives in the intersections of feminism, design, tech, and sustainability.

Ria also became one of the judges at the MIT Inclusive Innovation Challenge (now MIT Solve) which awards $1M+ globally to the heroes of inclusive innovation − organizations that are using technology to reinvent the future of work and create a more equitable economy.

At present, she is the Co-Founder of Panublix, a sourcing platform and marketplace connecting designers with tropical textiles and artisan craft so they can design for climate-positive lifestyles. She is also a freelance researcher and project manager of sustainable-related R&D initiatives under various grant schemes by organizations such as the British Council, Forest Foundation, and the University of the Arts London.

Her other affiliations include Red Cross Australia, US YSEALI, Equals ITU, HackerNest, Mental Health First Aid Australia, Sweden Alumni Network, Carbon Literacy Project, and Artforce Brisbane.
