Robert Trevisanutto
Paramedic, Educator, and Volunteer in Thunder Bay, Ontario
Robert Trevisanutto is a front-line paramedic and Acting Superintendent with Superior North EMS in Northwestern Ontario. He serves communities along the north shore of Lake Superior and has 13 years of professional experience. A passionate advocate for paramedic safety, Robert co-chairs the Joint Health and Safety Committee, where he has led efforts to modernize safety protocols, including updating deployment strategies to address excessive work hours and promote paramedic well-being.
For nearly two decades, Robert has held volunteer leadership roles with St. John Ambulance and Shuniah Fire & Emergency Services, and he teaches with the Canadian Red Cross. Across these commitments, he focuses on emergency management, medical education, and regulatory compliance. His work in fostering safer, more resilient systems has earned him honours such as admission to the Order of St. John, the King Charles III Coronation Medal, and commendations for excellence in prehospital care and community service.
Outside of his professional commitments, Robert is a hobbyist portrait photographer who enjoys time at home with his family and dog, and he loves bringing people together over home-cooked meals.
