For scores of days, innumerable to count,

I used to wonder…

What is the real meaning of my life,

And so I used to ponder…

Finally the answer came one day,

In bits and pieces…

I realized the truth as it came,

And strove to grapple…

What I understood was what I had always known,

In real and in principle…

But, it was a welcome paradigm,

Something new to deal with…

Like a bird, which roams the world,

Singing new songs and lighting new lives…

From one place and person, to another,

Off it goes, a new path to follow…

It had always been my aim to spread happiness,

But what, I never understood, did it mean for me…

Here I am, a bird with wings,

Enter lives which need to be kindled…

Stay for a while, and leave a mark,

A mark that helps you smile and bloom…

But, for a short time, I stay,

And, hope, leave back memories forever…

I enter your life in your gloom,

Confusion and sadness, strife…

But I leave behind a wake of meaning,

That will forever help you walk astride…

Here I am, the bringer of life,

Not birth, my dear reader…

But, happiness and light, so alive.

Here I am, the medicine to your wounds,

Wounds of life and time…

But, perpetual and painful, just inevitable.

What is in a name?

Call me God’s child or the Preacher…

I am, but the onset of hope in your life.

Just when you feel you wont get up,

Just when you feel life will never turn right…

I come along,

To help you set things right…

That is what I was born for,

Not for thanks or monetary pleasure…

Peace and happiness is what I work for,

To spread joy and the meaning of life…

I do not know the truth of reality,

Or answers to life’s mysteries…

I just accept them the way they are,

And wound my life around with simple care…

It is nice to meet new people,

Although, the end is always the most difficult…

But, it comes and chases me, tireless,

And, I have to accept it, nonetheless.

But, it is not in me,

Pinning away for a different life,

It is, but me,

Reveling in it and in God’s hand.
