“I chose life over death for myself and my friends. I believe it is in our nature to explore, to reach out into the unknown. The only true failure would be not to explore at all.” —Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton CVO OBE FRGS (1874-1922)

I am an abolitionist, adventurer, advocate, athlete, explorer, geopolitical economist, humanitarian, photojournalist, and writer obsessed about the arts, animal rights, conservation, education, global security, human rights, leadership, and social justice. My professional experience includes academia, business, defense, diplomacy, finance, government, Intelligence, non-profit, public health, and public policy.

As a progressive social entrepreneur, I founded a global wildlife conservation NGO in 2014 focusing on its mission to abolish all wildlife exploitation worldwide against the ravages of Wildlife Terrorism and the evil commerce of the Extinction Economy—in city centers, corporate boardrooms, executive offices, lecture halls, legislative chambers, public plazas, social clubs, supper clubs, and on-field operations worldwide.

I live simply as a Minimalist and a Vegan so that all species may simply live while treading lightly and ethically on all my endeavors and travels. I seldom sleep, dabble in photography to create visual alchemy while seeing the world intimately, fence whenever I feel the need to duel, run endurance races for the medals, and learn languages to better understand the world. Above all, I prefer to climb mountains for the fresh air when the weather is really, really nice.

My favorite dog breeds are the mission-centric Rhodesian Ridgeback, the athletic Vizsla, and the regal Pug. All of their individual temperaments pretty much reflect my multifaceted personality.

I am a lifetime member of the Piolet Society and a Great Ranges Fellow of the American Alpine Club (AAC) in Colorado to refine my craft within the “Fellowship of the Rope.” As a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS) and the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) in London, I am grateful for my opportunities to explore the world and do good works whilst witnessing all of its beauty and tragedy.

“Our goals must be, to tame the savageness of man and make gentle the life of this world.” —Senator Robert F. Kennedy (1925-1968)
