Sara Bellin is the Project Manager for Jewish Education at Facing History and Ourselves, an international educational and professional development organization whose mission is to engage students of diverse backgrounds in an examination of racism, prejudice, and antisemitism in order to promote the development of a more humane and informed citizenry.
Previously, Sara served as Director of Student Activities at Maimonides School in Brookline, Massachusetts, where she created and coordinated student activities for grades 6-12. Sara worked to strengthen student leadership and empower observant teenagers to view themselves in the combined context of their strong personal and religious identities. She has also worked Building Substitute and Program Coordinator at Maimonides Elementary School.
Sara received her bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Judaic Studies from the Blitstein Institute of Hebrew Theological College in Chicago, where she also taught at the Gurnee Jewish Experience and edited papers on topics ranging from biblical prophets to business law.
Sara is interested in education, marketing, writing, and how we make choices, as individuals and communities. Sara spends her free time reading about foreign travel, organizing the small Brookline apartment she shares with her husband and baby son, and relaxing at long Shabbat meals with friends.
