Her first novel, The Shore, was longlisted for the Women's Prize and shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award and the Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award. It is available in the UK, United States, Canada, and Australia, and will be released in translation in France, Italy, and the Netherlands. It involves an unexpected amount of sex, drugs, and wild ponies. The first chapter has been published as a short story in issue 5 of The Fog Horn.
