About John:
John J. Sastry is an attorney and Certified Financial Planner® dedicated to serving veterans and military families in Missouri and Illinois. He enlisted in the Missouri Army National Guard, earned his commission as a U.S. Army officer, and was selected for some of the most highly competitive roles in the Armed Forces —including serving as a tactical intelligence officer and paratrooper under Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC).
Across the United States, veterans continue to face significant challenges related to mental health, substance use, and housing stability. Thousands of veterans die by suicide each year, and tens of thousands experience homelessness, underscoring the need for strong advocacy, trusted guidance, and access to resources. These issues are often interconnected and require coordinated legal, financial, and community-based support.
John’s work is focused on helping veterans navigate these challenges—whether through legal guidance, financial planning, or connection to trusted support organizations. His mission is to ensure that those who have served are not left to navigate these issues alone.
John actively volunteers with multiple veterans’ organizations in Missouri and Illinois. He is the Founder and Chairman of the Missouri National Guard Hall of Fame, now part of the Mid America Veterans Museum.
