Nathan Tubbs

Educator, Pastor, and Chaplain in NYC

Nathan and his wife, Lesley, moved to Brooklyn in 2008 with a great desire to serve the city and make a difference. Since the summer of 2008, Nathan has been working as a STEM teacher in the NYC public school system through the NYC Teaching Fellows program. In 2011, he led a team to launch Cornerstone Church and continues to serve in a bi-vocational and volunteer role. Additionally, since August 2017, he has served as a chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserves and is currently assigned to Space Launch Delta 45 at Patrick Space Force Base and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

During his time in Brooklyn, he has worked to mobilize volunteer teams to serve the community. Nathan enjoys reading, being a percussionist, and spending time outdoors. He's a self-professed nerd, and can spend hours talking about comic books, fountain pens, NASA, and science fiction works.
