Nathan Tubbs

Educator and Chaplain in Auburn, AL

Nathan and his wife, Lesley, moved to Brooklyn in 2008 with a desire to serve the city and make a difference in the neighborhood of Bay Ridge. During their time in NYC, he worked as a STEM teacher in two public schools through the NYC Teaching Fellows Program. Additionally, he led a team to launch Cornerstone Church at Bay Ridge and served the church in a bi-vocational and volunteer role until his departure from Brooklyn in May 2024. Nathan was commissioned as a chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserves in 2017 and is currently assigned to Space Launch Delta 45 at Patrick Space Force Base and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

After 16 years in NYC, Nathan and his family have transitioned back to the Southeast. In August, he will begin working at his Alma Mater, Auburn University where he will be seeking to train the next generation of STEM teachers.

In his free time, Nathan enjoys reading, being a percussionist, and spending time outdoors. He's a self-professed nerd, and can spend hours talking about comic books, fountain pens, NASA, and science fiction works.
