Nathan and his wife, Lesley, moved to Brooklyn in 2008 with a great desire to serve the city and make a difference. Since the summer of 2008, Nathan has been working as a science teacher in the NYC public school system through the NYC Teaching Fellows program. In 2011, he led a team to launch Cornerstone Church and continues to serve in a bi-vocational role. Additionally, since August 2017, he has served as a chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserves and is currently attached to Space Launch Delta 45 at Patrick Space Force Base, FL.

During his time in Brooklyn, he has worked to mobilize volunteer teams to serve the community. Nathan enjoys reading, being a percussionist, and spending time outdoors. He's a self-professed nerd, and can spend hours talking about comic books, fountain pens, NASA, and science fiction works.
