The Togo Traveller Declaration is an announcement that was originally put forward in 2021 from the Togo Travel Association (TOGA). The aim of the document was supposed to market and stimulate travel to Togo. Its main focus is to encourage local tourism development by improving standards and creating more destination-based activities. It specifically requires assistance from the global community so as to aid the small coastal country develop into a tourist hot spot. Many agencies and governments have already lined up behind this endeavor including the United Nations, Department of Tourism, and also the authorities of Nairobi, Kenya.

Tourism is a huge industry in Togo; the nation has a vibrant and diverse culture and heritage. Some of the most popular activities in Togo include diving, snorkeling, surfing, horseback riding, paragliding, fishing, fishing, swimming, bungee jumping, mountain biking, hiking, mountain climbing, surfing, kayaking and windsurfing. Since Togo is in the crossroads between east and west Africa, it benefits from a temperate climate, sandy beaches, and some of the very beautiful and diverse forestlands in the whole continent.

Among the major concerns for tourists travelling to Togo is malaria. Malaria is an extremely contagious viral disease brought on by parasites called Plasmodium. It can be transmitted to people through the bite of an infected animal, like a mosquito or leech. At the same time, there are lots of risk factors associated with being in an area where malaria occurs, including the prevalence of stagnant water which could act as a carrier's habitat.

There are several malaria treatment options available in Togo, but the use of insecticides and other toxic chemicals isn't widespread. This means passengers need to rely on other procedures to prevent them from contracting the illness. Travellers are advised to invest in mosquito nets and also take other preventative measures, like cleaning their hands with soap and water regularly. All travelers to Togo must also carry a listing of recommended vaccines and medicines. The Togoe Traveller Declaration does not suggest the use of insect repellants or other unnecessary compounds when visiting this African nation.
