I am a journalist and an explorer. I am a learner for life. I am a podcaster, a business reporter and an economist wanna-be. I am a feminist. I am a feminism activist. I am both proud of and in constant battle with my parents. I am their only child. I am told I can be brutally honest, but always with the best intentions. I am curious. I am well traveled as a result of my curiosity. I am a current resident of Columbia, Mo., the town that has the most per capita reporters in the nation. I am Chinese, and I am proud of being one.

I believe someone’s zip code and place of birth don't determine her character and shouldn’t determine her future. I believe global warming is real, and we as humans should take responsibility and actions to keep the situation from getting worse. I believe languages are powerful, and studying them can sharpen one’s mind. I believe cooking is both intense and soothing.

I feel drawn to lifestyle stories about travel, makeup and fashion. I feel the happiest coming home to good food and good friends after a busy day. I feel both young and old when I have a good interview with my source.

I want to one day own a cat and name her “Cat.” I want to move out of my college town in the next six months. I want to very soon start a new adventure. I want to continuously improve my writing. I want to evaluate my writings based on fairness and compassion.
