Currently living in my hometown, I juggle a life of fatherhood, husbandness (not husbandry, that's just weird), and creativist. I grew up the son of educators; my Mom, the English teacher, and my Dad, the principal and coach.

My older brother and I were encouraged by both parents to enjoy and explore their special interests in culture, creativity, sportsmanship, and education. Mom gifted me with my love for reading and creative writing, Dad instilled my analytical tendencies, and my brother tested my endurance for competitive activities.

Now I am charged with encouraging my children to find their way in life. I know I will do some things right, but most attempts will be fraught with mistakes. I just pray I don’t break the spirit of discovery, or raw potential they both display. My elder child is certainly competitive and my younger one has a passion for music and art. Undoubtedly, my wife had a hand in helping them become compassionate, caring, and loving people.

Mom encouraged me to write a book someday. Maybe this will develop into that tome. To entertain the thought that others would find my life interesting is preposterous. But maybe my teacher training will reveal something to be educational, even if it is to be a preventative lesson on what not to do. I can accept that.
