Scott Gipson is a native Idahoan, born in Moscow and raised in Caldwell. He attended the University of Idaho obtaining his B.S in Political Science in 1990 and Juris Doctor in 1993.

Scott began work with Caxton Printers Ltd. In 1993. For the next 6 years he served as the director of Caxton's Textbook division and was named Vice President/Publisher in 1999. Scott was named President of the company on January 1st of 2011.

Scott has served on the board of directors of Junior Achievement of Idaho, and two terms as the president of the board of the The Cabin Literary Center in Boise. He currently serves as the VP of the Board of Directors of the University of Idaho Vandal Scholarship Fund; Board of Managers of the Whittenberger Foundation; Vice President of the Caldwell Business Improvement District Board of Directors and as Secretary of Destination Caldwell Board of Directors. Scott recently completed his 8th and final year of serving as a member of the Board of Trustees of the College of Idaho.

He and his wife Dawn Duncan Gipson have two children, Zachary (21) and Samantha (18).

Scott loves books, fishing, books, skiing, golf and books.
