Stacey Tighe, Ph.D.

Honolulu, Hawaii

Most of my professional life has been focused toward improving the sustainable management of coastal and marine resources. My marine science and policy degrees, and more than 30 years of professional work are applied in supporting integrated coastal resources management, coastal hazards management, adaptation to climate change and marine protected areas. My colleagues, clients, partners and counterparts include international, national and local government organizations or NGOs in dozens of countries that are the stewards or users of these resources. My experiences improve my skills of organizational development, project design and evaluation, program management, srategic planning and facilitation. Recently, I have returned to the USA after more than a decade in SE Asia, and am expanding my professional life to include real estate investing, providing technical services to start-ups and small businesses, developing my own international projects to help develop coastal women and sustainable island enterprises. For pleasure I am writing two books, building a new network of friends in Hawaii and enjoying surf, sand, rainbows and Aloha!
