Hello - I'm Dr. Stefanie Yao, Chiropractor in Victoria BC.

I’ve been in practice in Victoria for the past 11 years. I have a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Victoria and my Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) which is Canada's only English speaking chiropractic school, located in Toronto, Ontario.

As a chiropractor I am passionate about optimizing the health of my patients based on their individual lifestyles. I focus on providing patient-centred care to help my patients relieve pain, as well as to enhance their health and wellness. I enjoy treating patients of all ages for a variety of conditions ranging from acute sports injuries, motor vehicle whiplash injuries, neck and back pain as well as maintenance and wellness care.

My treatments may include the use of a variety of therapies such as manual soft tissue / myofascial release techniques, manual joint mobilizations and manipulations along with, active rehabilitation exercises, and patient education.

I am certified in level I and II Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and Functional Movement Assessment as well am a certified Graston Technique Provider and Rock Tape Doc.

As of 2020 I have been a Certified PoNS therapist. PoNS treatment is only offered at Authorized PoNS Treatment™ Clinics. These clinics are selected based on their experience treating neurologic symptoms such as balance and gait deficits. A Certified PoNS™ Trainer works with each patient according to their own specific needs and deficits during PoNS Treatment™. Along with the PoNS therapy I am also a Neurocatch Provider. The NeuroCatch Platform is a Health Canada approved Class II medical device that offers a simple and objective way to measure cognitive brain function. NeuroCatch uses an EEG headset to capture quantitative physiological responses for Auditory sensation, Basic attention, and Cognitive processing, overcoming challenges with traditional subjective error-prone tests.
