International Art Advisor

Steven Zynszajn directs Elegant Century Art, an advisory practice based between New York and Paris. The firm advises collectors on the acquisition and long-term management of major works of the Impressionist, Modern, and Post-War periods.

Raised in a family of art connoisseurs, Steven spent his formative years in Montparnasse, at the heart of the School of Paris, where the enduring legacy of Picasso, Modigliani, and their contemporaries helped shape his lifelong interest in modern art. Originally trained as a classical violinist, he continued his musical studies at The Juilliard School before studying at La Sorbonne. Music lessons in the Bernheim family home offered a glimpse into that world, where painting, music, and literature were part of the same conversation.

He later turned to the international art market, co-founding Elegant Century Art with Gregory Singer in 2012. He subsequently studied art law and art finance through Christie's, complementing years of practical experience in the international art market. His research also led to the identification of a previously unrecognized masterpiece by Konstantin Korovin, reflecting an approach grounded in historical scholarship and connoisseurship.

For well over a decade, Steven has advised on the acquisition and sale of major works across the Impressionist, Modern, and Post-War periods, including Monet, Picasso, Rothko, and Warhol. Much of this work is conducted on a confidential basis for internationally recognized collections and leading figures in the art world. This experience has evolved into a practice centered on the long-term management and international oversight of important works of art.

His clients include Forbes 400 and ARTnews Top 200 collectors, international families, and business leaders across North America, Europe, and Asia. Steven has also served as a consultant to auction houses in the United States and Asia.
