I am passionate about learning and discovering how people learn.

These are three learning theories that influence my work in schools.

  • Piaget’s ideas about child development- guided discovery to create new learning
  • Dewey’s theory that learning occurs best when the teacher becomes a guide of learning and group activities instead of a boss.

  • 3. Bruner’s idea and theory of a spiraling curriculum- where a large concept can be taught to anyone when broken down into smaller pieces and revisited over duration of time. Each time the subject matter is revisited it is taught a little more deeply.
