Tammy Charles is a native of New York and she graduated top of her business class in 2012 from the University of Tampa with Magna Cum Laude distinction in Business Management. She later received her MBA and Nonprofit Leadership Certificate in 2016. Recently she was accepted the prestigious University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Social Impact Strategy Executive Certificate Program. Currently, Tammy is the CEO and Chief Strategist at Inovo Strategic Consultingwhere her mission is to empower, equip, and inspire business leaders, entrepreneurs, and organizations to provide high-impact solutions to the community’s most pressing issues. She is also the Founder and Chief Ecosystem Architect for Tampa Bay Spark, LLC.— a social enterprise focused on leveraging innovation, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and social impact to spark change in Tampa Bay’s entrepreneurial economy.
Tammy is an Adjunct Professor at Hillsborough Community College and The University of Tampa where she is teaching Business, Management, and Social Entrepreneurship. She is also a full-time instructor and at Ultimate Medical Academy where she is teaching Accounting and Business Management to healthcare students. As a highly engaged member of the community, Charles is an active leader with multiple organizations. She is a board member for the Everyday Entrepreneur Venture Fund at Hillsborough Community College. She is the Founder and Director of Women in Leadership — a ministry dedicated to empowering women to utilize their God-given gifts and skills to lead and pursue their calling.
Charles has received numerous awards and accolades including receiving the prestigious 2018 Deanne Dewey Roberts Emerging Leader Award with the Tampa Chamber of Commerce becoming the first woman of color in the Chamber’s history to receive this honor. She has also received the 2014 President Bill Clinton’s Commitment to Action Award, 2016 Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Up and Comer Award for the Under 30 Category,2017 New Leaders Council Fellow and was honored by The University of Tampa with the 2017 Young Alumnus Award.
