Teslim Belo-Osagie

Teslim Belo-Osagie serves as Director of Renewable Energy Coverage at Standard Chartered Bank Americas, where he has facilitated over $5 billion in renewable energy financing since joining full-time in April 2020. He initially moved to the US in August 2019 on a short-term assignment after building a distinguished 15-year career at Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria.

During his tenure in Nigeria, Mr. Belo-Osagie advanced through several leadership positions, culminating as Executive Principal & Head of Global Subsidiaries (2016-2019), where he managed the bank's largest client group in Sub-Saharan Africa and served on the Bank's Asset and Liability Committee. His previous roles included Principal Relationship Manager, Head Client Coverage Generalists, Senior Account Relationship Manager, Head Client Services Group, and Outserve Manager. Before joining Standard Chartered in 2005, Teslim Belo-Osagie worked as a Financial Accountant at Hoslyn Oil & Gas Company in Nigeria.

Beyond banking, Mr. Belo-Osagie co-founded Legal Connect in 2022, a marketplace connecting lawyers with underserved populations in Nigeria and West Africa, scheduled for launch in 2025. Recently, he and his wife acquired a 20-year-old events venue business in Houston, currently undergoing renovation and repositioning.

Teslim Belo-Osagie balances his professional pursuits with family life. He is married to a psychotherapist developing a hospital in Texas, and together they raise five children—four biological and one adopted—ranging from 4 to 22 years of age. In his leisure time, Mr. Belo-Osagie enjoys running and is an ardent Arsenal Football Club supporter.
