CARPP
Centre Applied Research of Professional Practice in United Kingdom
CENTRE for APPLIED RESEARCH for development and understanding of PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE (CARPP) supports artists and creatives to understand and develop their professional practice through the application of psychoanalytical concepts.
Our central objective is to promote understanding of professional art practice with individuals and educational organisations.
Over many years, we have developed a programme based on four main themes. Our approach develops the 'whole self' through experimentation, reflection, challenge and exploration. This framework encourages practitioners to identify the psychological patterns and loops that may be consciously or subconsciously affecting their growth and development.
This unity of arts, professional practice and psychology as a method of mentorship within the creative field is unique and effective, allowing for deeper critical thinking, observation and insights. Our educational and mentoring programmes provide consultancy and coaching for leaders, educators and individuals. This supports practitioners in becoming more effective managers of themselves and others and to be able to act with greater authority, creativity and agency as arts professionals.
