Thomas has a profiled work experience since 1997 with a focus on media, politics and regulated markets (telecommunications, energy, airports, infrastructure projects).

He used to work as press spokesman, strategic relations and campaigning manager for governmental and political institutions as well as for candidates who then became prime minister, minister, mayor and member of parliament from regional to European level.

Thomas Philipp Reiter is the only press spokesperson who served for two different parties on state level (Christian Democrats and Liberals).

Working as a consultant, manager and managing director for communication agencies is also among his experiences since he was co-founder of Germany's first ever Public Affairs agency "POLIS".
