Holts Summit, MO
Immediately after college, Travis went into ministry where he was asked to raise his salary from contributors, lead men and women on a college campus, build relationships, and speak to large groups of students while helping organize the ministry.
After two years of ministry, Travis moved to Missouri where he mentions MO was like "coming home" for him. He met his wife in MO, they've begun to build their family here and continue to enjoy their time in the state. He moved to MO to pursue an opportunity working in the MO Pharmacy Association (MPA) as a Marketing Coordinator, moving up to Director of Marketing and finally becoming the Chief Operating Officer of the Association within five years of coming on staff.
One of his many accomplishments and his most cherished achievement was helping create the MPA's Disaster Relief Fund after the tornado that hit Joplin, MO on May 22nd, 2011, which devastated many lives and the community there. With the help of members, staff and colleagues, Travis takes great pride in the ability to have helped raise nearly $50,000 through the Disaster Relief Fund that provided necessary medications to those in need.
Included in his time in MO, Travis has started his own marketing company, Fitzwater Enterprises, LLC, that focuses on social media while consulting businesses who are understandably confused about social media, teaching them how to use it in a way that would leverage the technology for communicating with clients, customers or to build brands.
Lastly, at the end of 2011, Travis announced his candidacy to run for State Representative in central MO after building relationships and connections in the area and falling in love with the community, seeing it as a proper step in serving the people of Missouri. Redistricting stopped his campaign in 2012, but Travis has begun his campaign for state representative in 2014.
