COL Tristan Siegel has worn many hats in his military, legal, diplomatic, federal civilian, congressional, federal law enforcement officer, federal prosecutor and private sector financial careers.

He is a retired O-6 Colonel in the US Army Military Intelligence Corps — a Battalion Commander, a US Army War College graduate and a highly decorated combat veteran — with deployments to Iraq 🇮🇶 Kuwait 🇰🇼 Afghanistan 🇦🇫 Korea 🇰🇷 Japan 🇯🇵 Belgium 🇧🇪 Germany 🇩🇪 and 80 countries.

In Baghdad, Colonel Siegel was awarded the Bronze Star Medal 🎖️, the Combat Action Badge, and the XVIIIth Airborne Corps and CENTCOM combat patches.

Colonel Siegel is an Airborne-qualified Combat Paratrooper with 30 years of military experience, including key assignments in The Pentagon, The White House and The Senate — and with CIA, DIA, NSA and NGA — in addition to his wartime deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.

As a retired GS-15 Step 10 Diplomat and Foreign Service Officer with the US Department of State, he served in Marjah, Afghanistan as a senior political officer embedded with the Marines in Helmand Province.

In his private sector legal career, Tristan is a seasoned trial lawyer who has managed large corporate litigation and first-chaired multi-million-dollar victories for large Fortune 100 international corporate clients in federal court. He has been admitted to practice law in 12 courts nationwide, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

Tristan served as a Federal Supervisory Attorney — and as Deputy Counsel to the Inspector General — where he supervised an office of twenty GS-15/GS-14 federal trial attorney prosecutors and staff prosecuting fraud cases with civil and criminal federal law enforcement issues in complex litigation all over the country.

Tristan’s Juris Doctorate is from the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Law (J.D. 1996, Moot Court Highest Honors, Scholarship Winner, Elected Class President).

In addition, Tristan earned two Master's degrees — a Master of Strategic Studies (M.S.S. 2010) from the U.S. Army War College and a Master of Science of Strategic Intelligence (M.S.S.I. 1992, Summa Cum Laude, First-in-Class) from the Defense Intelligence College.

Tristan is fluent in French and conversant in German, Italian, and Spanish. He has lived, worked, and traveled throughout 80 countries on 6 continents during his 30 years in the military.

He is married to a fellow US Army Colonel, who is also a fellow Iraq veteran and a fellow lawyer. They met in the Army.
