I’m Spencer Varada, and I’m a software developer, SEO specialist, and writer at TechJury.net.

I was raised in a tech-centric household, which allowed me to become proficient with computers from a young age. My father designed data centers and taught me computer basics and light coding very early in my life. I found video games to be a more fun—albeit less productive—use of my time, and I even began competing in professional Halo competitions.

However, the time came for me to choose between becoming a professional player and pursuing further education. To the delight of my family, I chose the latter and studied Comparative Literature.

Not shockingly, I found it much harder to find a job that utilized my degree, so I began seeking work as a software developer. After completing a couple of internships, I went to a coding Bootcamp to refine my skills and become proficient in different coding languages.

Shortly after, I took a Developer role at a shipping and logistics company where I updated and automated many of their outdated programs and systems. While with this company I was able to have hands-on experience with all kinds of new tech.

The early lessons with my father along with my work experience have shown me how the tech world is somehow completely full but constantly growing—and people always want to know what the next best product to buy is.

Inspired, I finally figured out a way to make my degree useful. I decided I would begin thoroughly reviewing all the big players in categories like password managers, VPNs, photo and video editing software, and more to be able to provide complete and straightforward reviews about the products out there.
