Rev. Dr. Virginia Ward is a seasoned leader, motivator, and inter-generational minister focused on equipping the next generation of leaders. She previously led as Dean and Assistant Professor of Youth Ministry and Leadership at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary’s urban ministry program, CUME. She also served as the former Grant Director of two Lilly Endowment grants, Thriving Congregations and #MyFaith, a youth initiative. She studied Management at Northeastern University and holds a diploma in Urban Ministry, a M.A. in Youth Ministry and DMin in Emerging Generations from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
Rev. Dr. Ward has contributed to the Every Woman’s Bible with Tyndale House Publishers, and co-authored “5 Views on the Future of Youth Ministry: Perspectives on What Could or Should Be.” She is co-founder of a consulting company, Wards of Wisdom Associates to support urban ministries pursuing transformative change. She serves as Associate Pastor at Abundant Life Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She resides in Boston with husband and they have two adult sons.
Together, they blend pastoral leadership, scholarly insight, and practical strategy to inspire and equip leaders for lasting impact.
