Yvonne Hsiao

Born in Taipei, Taiwan and growing up in Shanghai, China, I was exposed to the world of varied cultural realities from a young age. Since moving to New York to attend Columbia University in New York (CC ’16), then to Paris to attend top European institutions in the culinary, business, and academic fields, I have continued to travel extensively for competitions, conferences, and leisure to approximately 85 cities and 22 countries. I have utilized these academic and professional opportunities to gain a multicultural worldview honed by these prestigious institutions around the world.

My adaptability and cross-cultural interpersonal skills allow me to work with colleagues and supervisors of different backgrounds, and thrive in foreign work environments. One of my most valuable skills include negotiating and resolving cross-cultural conflicts, an indispensable asset in any company’s globalized workforce and diversified client engagements, which I am able to conduct partially because of my proficient knowledge of six languages. My communication and problem-solving skills—both verbal and written—were developed through my commitment to Model United Nations and multiple journalistic publications, and contribute to my confidence in leading a project for any corporate or nonprofit team, and taking the initiative to create value for the company or organization.

With the ability to influence and manage others for organizational goals, I am looking for a job that values research, analysis, innovative problem solving, and communication—explaining results and findings in a way that clients can understand is something important to me, and something I do well. I look forward to translating my diverse interests and skills into direct benefits for your company.
