Hi! I'm Rafa and I'm a translator and localizator working with English, Spanish and Catalan. I have a degree in Translation and Interpreting [with New Technologies and Localization specialization] from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (2012) and I also have a master's degree in Tradumàtica, that is, translation of new technologies, videogames and localization from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2013).

I have done some internships in translation companies (INK Catalunya & MSS, Barcelona, 2013) as a translator, localizator and/or layout artist. I also worked side by side with IULA from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra as a layout artist (2013), creating Relaciones morfológicas (E. Bernal and J. DeCesaris, 2013), a volume about linguistics. Nowadays, I'm a freelance in Barcelona, where I work with the fields I have mentioned before.

My working languages are English, Catalan and Spanish, but I also have Swedish, which I'm still learning to reach a translation capability. Among other skills, during my careers I have learnt about SDL Trados, MemoQ, Wordfast, Translation Manager 2 and ApSIC Xbench, besides Office suite and part of the Adobe suite, that is, Photoshop, InDesign and Dreamweaver.

Personally, I define myself as a proactive, curious and dynamic person who can work perfectly in teams. One of my main goals is always to develop my career in the translation area and that is why I am constantly updating myself. All that result in giving ongoing trainings an important role in my CV.
