I am an undergraduate student at Loyola University Chicago and I am majopring in Public Relations. I come from Verona, Italy and I came to the United States to acquire a university degree. I have decided to transfer this far from home for many reasons; first, in Italy young students have less working opportunities than those here in the United States, second of all, I wanted to demonstrate to my parents and myself that I could be an independent woman, and last, but not least, I think that to be successful in life one should be as open-minded as possible, and the key to that is to travel.

I decided to get involved in the public relations and communication field because I enjoy interacting with others, being challenged and learning more about leadership. I personally believe that knowing how to be a leader is a big part of life, not only on a professional level, but also a more personal one. Nevertheless, I strongly believe in family values and I look up to both of my parents, my dad in particular.

I am planning to study abroad the second semester of my sophomore year and I am planning to go to Paris, France. I think it's important to have an international view when it comes to study particular fields, especially communication which is present everywhere. My goal is to have not only an American, but also a European perspective on Public Relations and how every country approaches it in a different way.
