OpenMed CEO Aaron Kaufman founded the medical-appointment-booking application in 2015 and has since leveraged his experience in IT leadership, product development and software development, and client management to grow the company's database to include more than 5 million providers. Prior to serving as OpenMed CEO, Aaron Kaufman worked as EVP and CIO at Kony Solutions. This position involved developing applications and supporting infrastructure for prominent healthcare, biotechnology, and retail consumer clients like Aetna, Carefirst, and eBay.
Aaron Kaufman joined Kony Solutions in 2011 and founded its Healthcare & Life Sciences business, which he subsequently grew to $18 million in revenue within five months. He previously served as CTO of Health Information Technology at Cardinal Health. In his role as CTO, he oversaw key projects relating to eMarketing, EMR development, and PMS integration.
Mr. Kaufman has also held leadership roles at the intersection of healthcare and technology at US Oncology and American Caresource. He has also served as interim CIO at St. John's Health Center & John Wayne Cancer Center. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Texas and is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and Stand Up To Cancer.
