Aaronpal Dhanda
Head of Data Technology
University of Warwick graduate Aaronpal Dhanda was one of a group of graduates selected for the National Express group graduate programme. He also holds a certificate in business analytics and data-driven decision-making from Cambridge University. Aaronpal’s professional field is data and data analytics, and he has worked in this sector for over two decades.
Aaronpal has participated in several events in support of dementia charities, including abseiling down the side of Twickenham Stadium to raise money. He is also a former youth Sikh leader for Sikh Union Coventry. The union aims to develop and provide recreational and educational resources for Sikh youth and to organise events and facilities that cater to Sikh sports, cultural and social needs. Developing partnerships with other communities is also a key element of the organisation’s remit.
In a professional capacity Aaron Dhanda has regularly attended the Snowflake conference – Snowflake is one of the most used data platforms in his industry and one that Aaronpal and his team frequently use. He is also an attendee of the AWS (Amazon Web Services) Summit.
Aaronpal enjoys a wide range of diverse interests and hobbies, including playing five-a-side football, collecting rare Lego sets, undertaking DIY projects, building mini robots, reading, gadgets and baking. Regarding the latter he has a very sweet tooth, and he particularly loves to bake pastries, cakes and desserts. A fan of the Indian cricket team, he closely follows the team and attends tournaments whenever he can. Aaronpal appreciates the opportunity to take city breaks and cites some of his favourite destinations as Munich, Barcelona, Hong Kong and Bruges.
